LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- For the second time in two years, demonstrators protested against the Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation at the state fair's annual ham breakfast and auction.

They say the bureau promotes policies against LGBT, teachers, abortion and unions. U.S. Congressman John Yarmuth says the issue stems from the Bureau's policy book.

"They get involved in social issues like opposing gay marriage, opposing domestic benefits for partners, and the abortion issue," Yarmuth said. "I think what they do is divide society and alienate people who might otherwise be supportive."

The Fairness Campaign, ACLU, Jefferson County Teachers Association and Louisville Showing up for Racial Justice... participated in today's protest.

Three people were arrested during a similar protest last year.
