LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Authorities have identified a soldier who was arrested for allegedly firing shots at Fort Campbell on Thursday.

According to a news release, that man has been identified as 23-year-old Spc. Bryan Castillo, a UH-60 Blackhawk helicopter repairer who arrived at Fort Campbell in Sept. 2013.

"Castillo allegedly entered Hangar 8 on the airfield at approximately 11:30 a.m. yesterday and fired two shots," the news release states. "Installation law enforcement was notified and immediately responded. He fled the hangar in his privately owned vehicle, and law enforcement pursued."

"During the pursuit...Castillo hit another vehicle, but was able to continue his flight to his on-post residence," the release continues. "He attempted to leave his vehicle on foot, but was subdued by law enforcement and taken into custody."

Authorities allegedly found additional weapons and ammunition inside the vehicle.

No injuries were reported. The entire incident lasted approximately 30 minutes, according to the news release. Installation entry gates were temporarily secured during the incident.

The motive for the shooting is not known.

Castillo is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail. Formal charges have not yet been filed.
