LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Troyvonte Hurt's family hit the streets once again Friday night, praying for peace and closure.

Dozens of people gathered at the spot where the 14-year-old was gunned down Wednesday.

They marched through Smoketown begging the community to put down the guns.

"I've really lost a big part of me so with everything in me I'm going to try my hardest to make sure my community is back at peace and all the kids can be at peace and play like they want to play," Lanesha Harris, Hurt's mother, said.

Metro Police watched over the group as it walked down Clay and Jacob Streets.
