Peace Walk held in Smoketown after shootings

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Smoketown leaders are calling for unity after the death of a 14-year-old boy in a drive-by shooting.

Bates Memorial Baptist Church organized the peace walk, which was led by LMPD Chief Steve Conrad.

The event started at 6 p.m. on the Clay Street side of the church.

Fourteen-year-old Troyvonte Hurt was shot and killed, and two other teens were shot Aug. 24 in a drive-by shooting.
