LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An investigation is underway after a house fire in the Saint Joseph neighborhood. 

Firefighters were called to the home on Concord Drive near Crittenden Drive and Eastern Parkway around 11:30 a.m. Friday. Crews say the fire appears to have started near a sofa in front room on first floor.

No one was home when the fire started. Firefighters did pull a dog from the home, but it died from smoke inhalation. 

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
