Shortage of parking has drivers in the Highlands frustrated

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Business may be booming, but a shortage of parking in the Highlands has more and more drivers frustrated.
"I drive around until I find something close," Cameron Greenfield said. " (I) try not to park where I could get towed, avoid the yellow lines on the curb, of course. It can be hit or miss ... a little frustrating."
Bardstown Road is lined with bustling bars and restaurants, but with the opening of big attractions like Hopcat Brew Pub ,parking is getting harder to come by.
We spoke with the manager of the Jimmy Johns at the corner of Bardstown Road and Baxter Avenue, who says she sees cars getting towed every weekend.
"They probably tow at least 20 cars every night that I work, and I work Friday and Saturdays, late-nights," Christina Jones said.
Residents and business owners are frustrated, saying it's so bad they often can't park in their own lots.
So what should you do?
"Just read the signs. You can't just go down there and park," said Dave Jones, owner of Dave's Towing. "You really have to watch where you park. Because they're watching you."
