ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Hardin County man is accused of shooting someone, then threatening a police officer.

It happened late Saturday night at a home on Nicholas Street in Elizabethtown.

Police say Joe Jackson claimed the victim was being aggressive, so he went to his truck, grabbed a gun, and shot the person in the right foot.

After his arrest, the 51-year-old is accused of telling an officer, "After I get out, I am going to get a hold of you and wreck your world."

Jackson is charged with assault and terroristic threatening.
