LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Dozens of classic and show cars were on display at the Louisville Zoo Monday.

"We have been doing this for about 17 years, started out at the Louisville Motor Speedway and now we been here for like 15 years, I think," Tommy Hillerich, president of Kentucky Low Riders, said.

About 215 show cars participated in the annual Kentucky Low Rider Car Show.

The event was held on Labor Day at the Louisville Zoo.

Local car collectors like Dale Jackson look forward to the event every year.

"I have been participating for the last 10, 12 years and it's part of our so called show circuit from where we go throughout the summer to a show each weekend," Jackson said.

The cars were judged in several categories and dozens of prizes were handed out to the winners.
