LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Kentucky Attorney General Andy Beshear sued residential remodeling contractor American Home Design Inc., also known as Sunrooms and More, and owner Jerod Hagen on Wednesday for violating the state's Consumer Protection Act.

Sunrooms and More builds additions, upgrades bathrooms and performs other remodeling work in Louisville, Lexington and northern Kentucky. The company did not obtain building permits, failed to perform or complete jobs and to remedy defective work, Beshear's office said in a news release.

Beshear's office began investigating the Lexington-based business in March after reviewing more than 70 complaints from consumers.

The lawsuit, filed in Fayette County Circuit Court, seeks civil fines and restitution. Sunrooms and More did not immediately return a call for comment on Wednesday.
