LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A piece of Louisville basketball history is coming down.

Crews started demolishing the walls and ceiling of Crawford Gym Thursday morning. The gym served as the Cardinals' practice facility for the basketball team for almost 30 years.

U of L has already sold 12x12 pieces of the gym floor and auctioned off the scoreboards and bleachers.

An academic building will be put in the place of Crawford Gym.
