LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- There is more help in Metro Louisville for addicts struggling with heroin and other drugs.

On Thursday, Landmark Recovery opened its doors on Malcolm Avenue in south Louisville. Landmark is a 32-bed residential treatment center for both men and women. It specializes in drug and alcohol abuse and detoxification.

"We have a team of medical professionals, psychiatric professionals and 24-hour nursing care that will address any of the needs that come up while they are in our care," said Zach Crouch, administrator.

Landmark Recovery is already fully staffed and prepared to start seeing patients Thursday.
