Louisville woman arrested after naked child found wandering across busy Portland street
Police have arrested a Louisville mom after they say she allowed her child to wander alone on a busy street in Portland.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville mom after they say she allowed her child to wander alone on a busy street in Portland.
According to the arrest report, it happened around 10 a.m. That's when police were called to a Speedway store in the 2100 block of Duncan on reports of a child who was alone and unclothed. Officers found the child in the manager's office, and witnesses stated this has happened three other times.
Police say the child was naked and in danger when he crossed the road in a high traffic area. According to the arrest report, "the child's feet were black, child had several rashes on his body and black/bruised eyes." The child was described as "very hungry while officers were on scene."
Police say the child's mother, 27-year-old Krystal Stinnett, showed up about an hour after officers arrived.
Stinnett's family members told police that she is currently "strung out" on drugs.
Stinnett was arrested and charged with one count of wanton endangerment.
