LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- An Ohio man was arrested over the weekend after police say he broke into the jail.

Police in Hamilton, Ohio, say 23-year-old Chad Saylor climbed a pipe and hopped a barbed wire fence at the Resolutions jail compound on Saturday. Once inside, he called 911 to tell dispatchers his life was in jeopardy.

Saylor said he broke into the compound because men with guns were chasing him, saying two made it into the complex with him.

"I had nowhere else to go or I would have died!" he said on the call.

When police arrived, Saylor was the only person they found.

Saylor already had an active warrant for theft, so he was taken into custody.
