Men jailed for 'satanic ritual' murder face new charges, despite ruling of wrongful conviction

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Two men whose murder convictions were overturned in July now face new charges.

Jeff Clark and Keith Hardin are now charged with kidnapping. Neither man is charged with murder, but Clark is also charged with perjury.

Prosecutors say they were part of a satanic ritual that ended in the death of 19-year-old Rhonda Sue Warford of Louisville.

In July, a Meade circuit judge overturned their 1995 murder convictions. He cited new DNA and other evidence.

The new charges stem from a new indictment by the Meade County Grand jury
