LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Liberty High School student was arrested Tuesday after setting another student's folder on fire and then threatening to shoot him.
David Lax, 18, is charged with terroristic threatening second degree and wanton endangerment first degree. He was arrested at the school, located at 3307 East Indian Trail.
According to the arrest report, Lax was in a classroom around 11 a.m. Tuesday harassing another student.
"While in class today, subject picked up the other student's folder and set it on fire in the classroom," the report states, adding that the teacher had to put the fire out. "This created a very unsafe environment in the school building."
The report goes on to state that Lax also made a threat to the other student that he "wishes he had his gun with him so he could shoot the other student in the face."
Lax continued to threaten and harass the other student until his arrest, the report states.
A spokeswoman for Jefferson County Public Schools says Lax will also be disciplined according to the district's policies and procedures.
