SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WDRB) -- Police, Fire and EMS crews responded to an accident involving an ambulance in Sellersburg, Indiana, Sunday evening.

The accident happened on Highway 60.

Witnesses tell WDRB News that the driver of a red car was trying to turn onto St. Joe Road, when an ambulance hit the car from behind.

Witnesses say the ambulance was responding to an earlier call at the time of the collision.

The ambulance hit the car, then rolled over several times before landing in a ditch. The ambulance driver was treated on the scene for minor injuries.  The driver of the red car had to be rescued by firefighters using the jaws of life.
