LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The identity of a man found shot to death near GE's Appliance Park Sunday night has been released.

According to the Jefferson County coroner's office, the victim was 25-year-old Piter Perdomo.

LMPD's Homicide Unit continues to investigate. Police were called to Rosette Boulevard and Ridgecrest Road around 11:30 p.m. on Sept. 18. That's where they found Perdomo inside a car. Homicide detectives say they believe he was alone in the car when he was shot.

Perdomo was rushed to University Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 12:13 a.m. from a gunshot wound.

A neighbor who did not want to be identified told us she heard five or six gunshots. She says it's concerning because there a lot of young children in the neighborhood.

Police are still looking for suspects. Anyone with information is asked to call the LMPD crime tipline at 502-574-LMPD (574-5673). Callers can remain anonymous.
