Police say Louisville man shot victim in the chest

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville man authorities say shot a victim.

Donald Riddle II, 41, was arrested Tuesday morning at his home in the 7600 block of Mango Drive, near Greenwood Road, according to the official police report. Authorities say a gun was located at the residence.

Police say the shooting allegedly happened Monday night in the 5200 block of Greenwood Road, near Sky Blue Avenue and Alyssum Drive. Authorities say Riddle's wife stated on a 911 call that Riddle had shot the victim.

Police say officers located a victim in a parking lot next to an apartment building. The victim had a gunshot wound to the chest, according to police.

The victim was taken to U of L Hospital. There's no word on the victim's current condition.

Riddle is charged with one count of assault. He's due in arraignment court on Wednesday.
