LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Sports Illustrated writer Andy Staples covered top-ranked Alabama's win at Ole Miss on Saturday night, but even then, folks at SI knew a bigger story had happened in Louisville, where the Cardinals had dominated No. 2-ranked Florida State 63-20.

So Staples got into his car after the game, drove to Memphis, spent the night, and was in Louisville Sunday afternoon to write a new story, this one on Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson.

Turns out, it was a cover story.

"What. Just. Happened?" The cover of SI reads this week, then answers its own question: "Lamar Jackson arrived. That's what."

You can read a portion of Staples' cover story here. The headline inside begins, "The New Superman."

Heady times for Louisville football, and its sophomore quarterback.
