Gas prices continuing to rise in some southern U.S. states

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Gas prices are continuing to spike in some southern states.

AAA says it's because of a pipeline leak in Alabama. The auto club says since last week, the price for regular gas has gone up almost 27 cents in Georgia and 18 cents in South Carolina.

Prices also rose in Alabama, North Carolina, Tennessee and Virginia. The pipeline company working to fix the leak says a bypass repair is complete.

Fuel flow is expected to resume tomorrow.
