LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in Clarksville are searching for a man who broke into the Sav-A-Step on Eastern Blvd.

According to a news release from Clarksville police, police were sent to the business around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on reports of a burglar alarm sounding. When the officer arrived, he noticed the front glass door was broken. After making sure no one was inside, the officer noticed the only thing that look disturbed were packs of Newport cigarettes.

Surveillance video showed the suspect, a short white male wearing a gray shirt and cargo pants throw a rock into the glass door, then crawling through the opening. The video shows the suspect walking around the counter and grabbing several packs of Newport cigarettes in the red packs.

After leaving the store, surveillance video shows the suspect running west on Bowne Blvd. Police say the manager thinks between 6 to 10 packs are missing.

If you recognize the man shown in the surveillance images in this story, please contact Detective Todd McCutcheon at 812-288-7151 Ext 213 or by email at t.mccutcheon@clarksvillepolice.com.
