Former Shepherdsville Mayor Scott Ellis requesting more money

Posted: Updated:

SHEPHERDSVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Former Shepherdsville Mayor Scott Ellis is asking for another check from taxpayers.

The City Clerk says Ellis inquired about a four-day check.

Earlier this month, the city paid Ellis about $35,000 in back pay, after a judge ruled Ellis didn't properly resign as mayor in February.

He then officially resigned and wants the remaining money for his extra four days in office, even though he didn't show up for work.

The City Clerk says the next mayor and the council will decide if Ellis gets a check and when. If a check is cut, it would be in the amount of $921.44.

Ellis is still being sued by a former city employee, who claims Ellis repeatedly sexually harassed her.
