LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Louisville Metro Police say they've arrested a man who was involved in a carjacking, then led police on a chase that involved several crashes.

According to an arrest report, it happened on Monday, Sept. 26, just after 2 a.m.

Police say it started at the Greyhound bus station at the corner of S. 7th Street and W. Muhammad Ali Boulevard, where a man said that a black male in a mask approached his car from behind, pointed a gun at him and told him to run.

According to the victim, the suspect then got into his car and drove west down Muhammad Ali Boulevard.

At 2:30 a.m., as an officer was speaking with the victim to take down the report, another officer got behind the stolen vehicle. Police say that officer tried to stop the stolen car -- which was driven by 18-year-old Lequavion Seabrooks -- but Seabrooks instead fled from police, driving through downtown Louisville.

Police say Seabrooks drove the wrong direction on S. 6th Street, then hit an officer's car head-on while driving the wrong direction on S. 5th Street. At the corner of S. 5th Street and W. Market Street, Seabrooks allegedly crashed into two parking meters. Police say he then went the wrong direction on W. Jefferson Street, before turning southbound on S. 2nd Street in the northbound lanes.

According to the arrest report, he crashed into three parked vehicles near the corner of S. 2nd Street and W. Breckinridge Street, and then jumped out of the vehicle, leading police on a foot chase that lasted three blocks.

He was eventually arrested after police caught up with him. Police say he had no driver's license, and three of the victim's credit cards were in his possession at the time officers found him. He was charged with first degree robbery, first degree wanton endangerment of a police officer, first degree criminal mischief and first degree fleeing or evading police, according to the arrest report.

He is currently being held in Louisville Metro Corrections.
