LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police have arrested a Louisville woman after authorities say she used counterfeit money.

Milaya Young, 19, was arrested Monday on Vermont Avenue, according to the official police report.

Authorities say Young and another person were in possession of counterfeit $100 bills. Officials say Young and the other person "passed the bogus money for merchandise" at a local Walmart store. They received merchandise and large amounts of change back from the store, according to police.

Police say "their wicked plot began to unravel when they did the same thing at a Walmart store in Frankfort." Officials say instead of receiving merchandise and change, the pair was arrested.

Authorities say Young was also arrested in August for "passing funny money" at a McDonald's in Shelbyville.

Young is charged with criminal possession of a forged instrument and theft by deception.

She is being held at Louisville Metro Corrections. She is expected in court on Tuesday.
