LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana University Police in Bloomington are investigating a reported armed robbery.

According to a release, the robbery happened around midnight on Tuesday near Dunn Woods, which is a wooded area south of Franklin Hall and east of Bryan Hall.

Police say the robbery was reported to IU police at 12:20 a.m.

Officials say the victim was a male IU student. According to police, the victim was sitting alone listening to music, while sitting on a bench in Dunn Woods. Officials say the victim stated he saw a male pass in front of him.

Police say the victim stated that about one minute later, "he was grabbed from behind and a metal object was placed to his head."

Investigators say the victim stated that he did not see a weapon, but believed the object was a handgun.

Authorities say the suspect demanded the victim's belongings. The victim handed over his cell phone and wallet. The victim was not injured.

The suspect is described as an African-American male, about 5 feet, 9 inches tall; he weighs about 175 pounds. The suspect is believed to be in his late 20's to early 30's and was wearing a blue-hooded jacket.

Below is a composite of the suspect:

Police say the victim stated the suspect fled the area in a northwest direction. Officials say the victim stated he heard the suspect talking, so there's a possibility more than one suspect is involved.
