Shepherdsville City Council could select new mayor at Tuesday night's meeting

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Shepherdsville City Council could choose a new mayor Tuesday night.

The new mayor will serve the remaining two years of the current term.

A judge ruled former Mayor Scott Ellis didn't properly resign in February after a sex scandal, but he officially resigned earlier this month.

If no mayor is chosen by mid-October, Gov. Matt Bevin will select one.
