Louisville man accused of setting home on fire while children were inside
The suspect pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday morning to arson and assault.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A man is arrested for allegedly setting fire to a home with children inside.
Officers say Jamel Mundy was with his boyfriend at a house on Monday on Harlan Avenue near Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. Mundy reportedly got into a fight with his boyfriend and swung a clothes iron at him.
That's when the victim's daughter says Mundy set the house on fire.
Police say they found the victim, his daughter, his two grandchildren and two dogs inside the house.
The fire department was called to put out the flames.
Mundy pleaded not guilty in court on Tuesday morning to arson and assault charges.
