LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) --  Reynolds Manufacturing plans to expand its west Louisville plant where it makes Reynolds Wrap aluminum foil, adding up to 50 jobs.

State officials on Thursday approved the company for an economic development subsidy of up to $650,000 – paid out over 10 years --  if Reynolds follows through with the plan.

The new jobs are projected to pay an average of $29 an hour, a figure which includes the value of employee benefits.

The plant is at 2827 Hale Avenue in Parkland. The expansion is meant “to keep up with the growth of the aluminum foil category and projected increases in production,” according to the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority, which approved the public subsidy on Thursday.
