LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Some Churchill Downs jockeys took a break from the track Thursday to visit with sick children.

About a dozen jockeys, including Hall of Fame rider Pat Day and Calvin Borel, were at Kosair Children's Hospital.

All were dressed in their racing silks as they visited with kids and their families.

"It reminds us every day how fortunate we are, that we get to ride thoroughbreds and enjoy our jobs," jockey Sophie Doyle said.

The jockeys didn't come empty handed. They handed out signed posters and racing goggles to share with the kids.
