Vigil planned for Louisville teen killed at party near UK campus

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A vigil is planned tonight for the Louisville teen shot and killed over the weekend in Lexington.

Family members say the vigil for Nate McNealy will be held in Berrytown Park starting at 5 o'clock.

Witnesses say McNealy, 18, wasn't the intended target when he was shot several times at a party early Saturday morning near the University of Kentucky's campus.

The victim's sister tells WDRB her brother was full of life, and was always making people smile and laugh.

An avid Wildcats fan, she says McNealy dreamed of attending the University of Kentucky to pursue a degree in mechanical engineering.

Police in Lexington say they don't have a description of the suspect, and no arrests have been made.
