LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Indiana State Police has declared an Amber Alert and is asking the public to be on the lookout for a child and his mother who have both been abducted.
According to a news release, 2-month-old Raphael Bevineau and his mother, 20-year-old Yolanda Walker, were last seen at 7 p.m. CDT on Sunday, Oct. 2, in Hammond, Indiana, 23 miles south of Chicago.
Police believe the pair were abducted by the child's non-custodial father, Ralph Bevineau. The suspect was believed to have been driving a gold Chevy Trailblazer or a similar type of SUV. The license plate number of the vehicle is not known. Ralph Bevineau is described as a black male. His picture is shown at right.
Raphael Bevineau is described as a 2-month-old black male, 1'-8" tall, with brown, wavy hair, green eyes and a dimple and his chin. His picture is shown at right.
Yolanda Walker is described as a 20-year-old black female, 5'-4" tall, with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was last seen wearing a white t-shirt and Grinch pajama pants. She has a birthmark under one eye. Her picture is shown at right.
