Rev. Jesse Jackson to discuss race relations at West Louisville Forum

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Rev. Jesse Jackson is scheduled to speak in Louisville today at an event for the West Louisville Forum. 

Jackson is expected to talk about the importance of voting and the issues affecting African Americans.

Today's discussion is called "The West Louisville Forum: Solutions for Urban America." Jackson will speak on the topic "What Do We Have To Lose?"-- in regard to voting in the upcoming presidential election.

Jackson marched with Martin Luther King Jr. and is CEO of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition.

Simmons College President Dr. Kevin Cosby says by bringing in speakers like Jackson, he hopes to make people think about how race-relations affect everyone,

This is the third in a series of West Louisville Forums designed to find solutions to problems facing Louisville's West End.

The forum is today at noon at the St. Stephen Family Life Center located at 1508 W. Kentucky Street. Admission is free.
