Police find 5,000 pot plants in southern Kentucky

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Police in southern Kentucky plan to destroy thousands of pot plants found growing in a field. 

Kentucky State Police found more than 5,000 plants in Tompkinsville, about 10 miles from the Kentucky-Tennessee border. Police say the plants were found in a cornfield on Mill Creek Road. 

Officials plan to destroy the plants. 

So far, no arrests have been made.
