LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The Louisville Bats and Cincinnati Reds will play an exhibition game at Louisville Slugger Field on Friday, March 31, 2017.

That's according to a news release from the Louisville Bats.

The first pitch is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. This will give fans the first opportunity to see the 2017 Cincinnati Reds and Bats before Opening Day on April 6.

The game will also feature an Adam Duvall bobblehead giveaway. Duvall, a Louisville native and former Butler High School and University of Louisville star, finished the 2016 season tied for 5th in the National League in home runs.

"We appreciate our long-standing affiliation with the Louisville Bats and are excited to play in front of our fans there before the 2017 regular season begins," Reds General Manager Dick Williams said in a news release. "The fans in Reds Country will get a chance to come to see some exciting young talent come to Louisville Slugger Field."

Bats full season and mini-plan ticket holders will have the first chance to purchase Reds exhibition tickets beginning on Thursday, October 6 at 10 a.m. A special three-game “Big Red” ticket package starts at just $39.
