Fire department replaces southern Indiana boy's stolen bike

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A southern Indiana boy recently had his bike stolen, but a local fire department came to the rescue.

Angela Hackworth's son, Mason, had a bike that he "rode all the time." Hackworth wrote on Facebook last month that Mason's bike was stolen off their front porch.

She's been trying to find the thief, posting tips on Facebook.

But this week, the New Chapel Fire Department bought Mason a brand new bike, just like the one that was stolen.

Two firefighters even took a picture with Mason and his new bike.
