LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- I-65 North is reported slippery after a truck leaked diesel fuel for at least nine miles in Clark County, Ind.

Indiana State Police say they've received numerous reports of the fuel in the northbound lanes of I-65 from exit 7 at Hamburg to exit 16 at Memphis.

The spill may be responsible for at least one "spin out" crash into a barrier wall, police said.

It happened about 8 p.m. Thursday.

The road may be slippery for northbound drivers, who should slow down from Hamburg through Memphis.

Drivers may detour to U.S. 31 North from Hamburg to Memphis or Henryville to avoid the area.

State police, firefighters, the county health department and state transportation workers have been called to assist in cleanup. They were working to find the leaky truck and its driver.
