LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – Louisville City is one win away from playing for the USL Championship.

All that stands in their way now is the team they’ve never beaten this season.

Louisville set up a highly anticipated third showdown with the New York Red Bulls 2 with a 1-0 win over Charleston in the USL East Semis Saturday at Slugger Field.

Kadeem Dacres provided the game’s only goal with a quick shot in the 53rd minute that he played off a bounce.  Afterward his mind was on getting one more shot on the eastern conference number 1 seed.

“We're ready for them,” said Dacres after the game. “They're the top team, and they're doing well. We respect them, but we'll have something ready."

Since New York has the higher seed, Lou City will have to play on road for the first time in the playoffs. No matter what happens in the west final, the winner of this game will host the USL title game.

The Eastern Conference Final will kick-off at 6:30 pm on October 16th.
