Hundreds rally in Louisville against Donald Trump

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) – Hundreds of people gathered on Bardstown Road Sunday evening for a rally against Donald Trump.

The rally was organized shortly after lewd comments Trump made in 2005 surfaced last week.

Shortly after the recording was released, Trump apologized.

“Anyone who knows me, knows these words don't reflect who I am,” Trump said in part. “I said it. I was wrong and I apologize.”

However, many people at the rally Sunday said that wasn’t enough.

“If you are able to say those words, I don't think an apology is going to cut it. It's already there,” said Mitchell Dietrich. “It's clear what kind of person he is.”

Dozens of congressional leaders have pulled support for the republican candidate in the last few days. Even locally, the comments are being chastised.

“I understand that Mr. Trump gave an apology. And I watched it. I took it for what it was,” said chairman of the Floyd County Young Republicans Garrod Sieveking. “It was over 10 years ago but they're indefensible comments."

The election is on November 8th.
