Teen murder suspect appears in court

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- He's just 15-years-old and charged with murdering three people.

His attorney says Anjuan Carter is lucky to be alive himself.

"Mr. Carter is a very young boy that has found himself in a very bad situation, and I think it will come out that he's lucky enough for him not to come out in the same position as the victims in this case," his attorney said in a Louisville courtroom Monday morning.

Carter's attorney entered a not guilty plea on Monday in a Louisville courtroom.

The teen is charged with the murders of brothers, 14-year-old Larry Ordway and 16-year-old Maurice Gordon. They were found stabbed, and their bodies burned.

Police say 26-year-old Brice Rhodes, Carter and another juvenile were involved in the teens' murders to try to cover up the murder of another man, Christopher Jones.

Carter is also charged with his murder and with tampering with evidence.

Carter's bond was set at $250,000 full cash.
