LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The public has been invited to take part in honoring an elderly Army veteran who was murdered last month.

71 year old Norman Hall was found dead in his apartment in the 1500 block of Pin Oak Court in September. Police say he died from trauma to his head and a stab wound. When city officials could not track down family, they decided to make sure he would have a proper burial.

Hall, a 22-year veteran of the Army, will be buried Oct. 12 at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery in Radcliff with full military honors. The public is invited to attend the service that starts at 11 a.m.

Two of Hall's cousins were eventually found in Somerset, Kentucky.

Two suspects were arrested for Hall's murder, including an underage female and 23-year-old Aaron Pearson.

Police believe they knew Hall, and were at his apartment to steal.
