LOUISVILLE, KY. (WDRB) – It was a happy homecoming for Gorgui Dieng.
The former Louisville Cardinal scored 12 points, helping lead the Minnesota T-Wolves to a 101-06 win over the Miami Heat Saturday night at the KFC Yum! Center.
“It’s good to be back,” said Dieng. “Saw some old friends. Saw coach. It’s been great.”
Dieng didn’t come alone in his return to Kentucky. He also brought former Kentucky Wildcat Karl-Anthony Towns. The 2016 NBA rookie of the year scored 16 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
Minnesota, one of the most exciting young teams in the NBA, improved to 3-1 in the preseason.
