Local family holds annual car show to help fight lung cancer, raise money for American Lung Association

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Classic car enthusiasts are helping in the fight against lung cancer.

The fourth annual car, truck, and bike show was held Sunday morning in honor of Aaron Alvey, who died of a lung disease.

Family says Alvey raced cars in the 60's and practically raised his kids in cars.

All the money raised benefits the American Lung Association.

"If we can get one person to survive from us, it would make all the difference in the world," Matt Alvey, son of Aaron Alvey, said.

A little more than 100 cars were shown at the event.

More than $11,000 dollars has been raised in honor of Aaron Alvey.
