LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Ford has temporarily shut down its Louisville Assembly Plant.
The automaker says it's in response to slowing demand for vehicles. The Louisville plant is closed this week, and will close again the week of Oct. 31.
The assembly plant makes the Ford Escape and Lincoln MKC. Two plants in Mexico are also idle this week.
Kansas City is shutting down on Monday for a week.
