LOUISVILLE, Ky (WDRB) -- On Friday night the North Bullitt Eagles will travel to South Oldham hoping to upset the undefeated Dragons. The winner of WDRB's Game of the Week will take home the ninth district championship title.

The Dragons are 8-0 for the first time in school history and that has put them in a position to win their fifth straight district championship.

"You know, I think our guys if they go out and play their game and they play like they're supposed to I think we'll have a good chance to compete," said South Oldham head coach Jamie Reed.

"North Bullitt definitely has a good scheme, a good offense, a good defense, a really good coach so it'll be a big challenge, our biggest challenge to date so we're looking forward to it."

The North Bullitt Eagles understand they'll step on the field as underdogs. It's a role they happily accept.

"I think we always play better when we know that we're the underdog, when everyone is picking against us and there's really no pressure on us," said senior quarterback Andrew Brown.

But the team in green recognizes the strengths of their opponent.

"They're big up front and they're a very disciplined football team. I mean they've got players at every position so you know normally you scout a team and you're looking for a weak point, something you can exploit and they really don't have too many weaknesses at all," said North Bullitt head coach Adam Billings.

"I think we have more heart. We're definitely the best team they've played this year and they're going to find out Friday night," said Brown.

Kickoff is at 7:30pm on Friday night.
