LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A Louisville man was arrested early Wednesday after police say he led them on a high-speed chase.

According to the arrest report, it started around 4:30 a.m. when police tried to stop 27-year-old Jeramie McGrew, who was a suspect in a violent robbery. Police say McGrew took off on a motorcycle, refusing to stop. The chase started at Scottsdale Blvd., continued to Bardstown Road and ended at Hurstbourne Lane.

At one point during the chase, police say McGrew was "traveling at a high rate of speed over 120 mph swerving in and out of traffic putting everyone at risk."

Police say several LMPD officers joined the chase, as well as the LMPD helicopter before McGrew stopped the motorcycle and took off on foot. Officers soon caught up with him and arrested him after a struggle.

McGrew is now facing several charges, including fleeing or evading police, wanton endangerment, resisting arrest, and operating a motorcycle without a license or insurance.

He's being held at Louisville Metro Corrections without bond and is due in court on Thursday
