LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Lunch becomes a learning experience for kids at one JCPS school when students greet some special visitors.

Goldsmith Elementary hosted the Cop Connection Cafe. A school worker came up with the idea as a way for students and police to build positive relationships with each other.

LMPD officers not only ate with the students; they also helped serve them.

"I hope at the end of the day they'll go home and say they had a positive interaction with a police officer, and ate lunch and build that positive relationship," said Goldsmith Elementary Assistant Principal Michael Hall.

City Cafe provided lunch for the officers.
