LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- According to Metrosafe dispatchers, Louisville Metro Police responded to a report of a shooting involving several victims Friday afternoon.

Dispatchers say they received the initial report of the shooting just after 3:20 p.m. at the corner of S. 12th Street and W. Hill Street where a convenience store is located.

LMPD Spokesperson Alicia Smiley said officers located three men suffering from gunshot wounds upon arrival.

The third victim was located across the street from the initial scene, inside the Save More Mart. Officials believe he was struck by a stray round. He was an employee at the store.

The victims were transported to University Hospital and officials say they are expected to survive.

Investigators are trying to determine what led to the shooting. They believe the victims located at 12th and Hill streets are known to one another but no other details on that relationship were immediately available.

Officials say they believe one or more suspects remains outstanding and no arrests have been made.

LMPD's Major Crimes Unit are handling the investigation.
