Kentucky State Police want to talk to students who had phones confiscated at schools

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A former high school principal is facing child pornography charges -- and now Kentucky State Police have a request from high school students as part of the investigation.

Stephen Goodlett is charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. He was the principal at LaRue County High School, but was removed from that position and notified earlier this week that he will be fired from the district.

The Kentucky State Police Electronic Crimes Branch is now asking for help. Investigators want anyone who attended Elizabethtown High School from 2010 to 2012, or LaRue County High School anytime from 2012 to 2016, and had their cell phones taken by school staff, to call them.

If you have any information call KSP at (502) 782-1800.
