Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory hosts first-ever Home Run Halloween Celebration

Posted: Updated:

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- The World Series starts Tuesday, but that doesn't mean The Louisville Slugger Museum and Factory has forgotten about Halloween.

Little superheros, ninjas, and skeletons were roaming the halls Sunday.

All children in costume got in free and could trick-or-treat through the factory tour and other hot spots.

And here's a scary thought ... anyone who ate a bug at the gourmet bug table received a special mini bat.

This is the first year for the Home Run Halloween Celebration.

"We love coming up with ways to connect with all generations from kiddos to their parents, to their grandparents and so on so it's been a lot of fun to see the kids dressed up and interacting and also the memories they're making here," Anne Jewell said.

If you couldn't make it Sunday, the Halloween decorations will be on display through the end of the month.
