Super Schools of the Future makes stop in Louisville as part of nationwide tour

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Super Schools of the Future made a stop in Louisville as part of a nationwide bus tour.

The XQ Super School Project launched a program last year to rethink American High Schools.

After nearly 700 submissions to the XQ: Super School Challenge across the nation, project organizers chose 10 winners.

Those ideas are now featured on a school bus that travels all over the country.

One of the winners is a school from New Orleans.

"That school is not only incorporating internships and project based learning, but is  also building a school on a barge. So when the flood waters hit, those students still have a school," Zak Malamed said.

The goal of stopping in American cities is to ignite a fire in every community to rethink how high school students learn.
